Monica Carroll is a Certified Yoga Instructor and Certified Holistic Health Coach who has been teaching health, fitness, and nutrition for the past 25 years.
Most of Monica's influence has come from her lengthy fitness background coupled with a love and passion for yoga and its principles. Early in her yoga journey, she saturated herself with intensives, workshops, lectures, and as many master classes and workshops from as many accomplished yogis of our generation. Some of her earlier studies include Shiva Rae, Dharma Mittra, Janet Stone, Darren Main, Heather Peterson, Brandon Cox, Sean Corn, Baron Baptiste, Annie Carpenter, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, Jason Wilkerson and Deepak Chopra. She holds certifications in HOT yoga, VINYASA/POWER yoga, ADVANCED VINYASA/POWER yoga, and HOLISTIC NUTRITION. Monica is currently pursuing a degree in Ayurveda.
She holds prior certifications in PERSONAL TRAINING, AEROBICS, SPORTS NUTRITION, and GROUP FITNESS which have all influenced her teaching style. Her workouts are designed to be interesting, challenging, but approachable. Her style is lighthearted fun, with tough love influence and the results are always the same; obvious in strength, clarity in mind, and addictive. She mixes many techniques, styles, and influences to create unique workouts that work the entire body system. This philosophy and way to train has become Monicas HARD yoga.
Her approach on nutrition and holistics is a real life approach. AWARENESS is the secret to nutritional success. It is hard to deny truth and there is plenty to be learned in the field of nutrition. Big agriculture, government subsidies, and Genetically Modified Foods are causing tremendous destruction on the future of our health. Children have high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, cancers and other problems commonly found in seniors. Heart attacks and other serious illnesses and diseases are showing up in younger and younger adults. Other nations seem to be following our American way of health. Though more money is spent on weight loss than ever, we continue to grow fatter and fatter; 68% obesity as of last check. Most people believe they are much healthier than they are and are shocked to learn the hidden truths about their own health and nutrition. Allergies, fatigue, anxiety, depression, anger, weight gain, and on and on, are all side effects of an unbalanced body that is screaming to you with symptoms. Monica's interest in nutrition began in her 20’s and she quickly became known as the Go To person for healthy tasty alternatives to traditionally prepared foods. It was through these interests that lead her to the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. “Teaching people how to create nourishing and great tasting food is empowering to me.” Her nutrition approach is reasonable and easily adaptable.
